SAN FRANCISCO

The streets of disparity

The city of Silicon Valley is undergoing an endemic housing crisis, where the gentrification initiated by the tech giants, leaves a significant part of the population on the side. Almost 7,500 homeless people live on the streets of San Francisco, yet renowned for its wealth. Many suffer from mental health problems or addictions. Photographs taken in the Tenderloin district of San Francisco in 2008.
